The Denver Singers will be opening the Range Practicum. The Denver Singers are a Native American drum group which came together in the 1970's. The drum group was formed to bring cultural balance in an urban setting. During the Indian Location Act of 1956 many of the original drum group members moved to the Denver Metro Area for employment opportunities. The Denver Singers have brought together many singers teaching the youth how to sing at the drum. The singers in the drum group all come from many different tribes. The Denver Singers are now on their second generation of singers and continue to teach the younger generations the ways of the drum group along with bringing together singers who have recently moved to the Denver Metro Area. Through the years the Denver Singers have performed for many different events and have traveled to many powwows across the country sharing their songs.
